It’s official, I have successfully completed my 2014 wholesale shows. Now that I am back, safely nestled into the comforts of home in Asheville, I can appreciate how much my thinking has changed in the past few weeks.

I saw so many beautiful works of art, objects that are truly original and push boundaries of what american craft is. I saw so many younger artists, trying out shows, and new work, and new ideas for the first time. It made me so excited to be part of it.

It gave me a push to try out some of the out-to-lunch jewelry ideas I have had, but was  nervous to try, because I thought no one would get it, or I would make something completely ugly. My thought now is, just try it!

The Buyers Market and ACC Baltimore  have given me a glimpse that risk is important, almost necessary, and that good things seem to always come from taking a bigger leap into the unknown than I think I can.
