Seeing Old Friends December 8, 2016 – Posted in: Uncategorized

I finished my last art fair of the year a few weeks ago in Savannah Georgia. It is one of my favorite shows of the year, partly because I get to mingle with all the eccentric locals, each with their unique fashion style. The older women in particular are not afraid to stand out like rare birds with huge necklaces and fur coats. The women are a lot like Savannah itself, bizarre and sophisticated at the same time.

My other reason for loving my yearly trip to Savannah is that I see lots of loyal customers wearing my work. They say my pieces are the ones they never take off, no matter what outfit they wear.  It feels wonderful to know my jewelry is so loved, and can stand up to the daily wear and tear. And I love hearing the stories of why the piece is so meaningful for them.

After four years of making the trek to the Savannah show, I feel like I’m seeing old friends when customers come into my booth.

Man the light is so beautiful this morning. #nofilter #artfair #telfair
