Metal Contortionists!

Through the amazing efforts of my studio mate Duane Dunston, Earthspeak Arts Artists will be having a lovely evening with wine and hors-d’oevres  and beautiful jewelry for sale at Restaurant Solace  in downtown Asheville on October 7th from 6-9.  There will be at least five different jewelers there will completely different styles, ranging from 20.00 to 2,000.00 dollars. My birthday is that weekend, so hanging out with all my studio mates in a fancy restaurant…

News from the road

I just came back from the Woodland Park Art Fair in Lexington. I was too busy to go swimming, but it was my favorite show so far. The show volunteers gave us breakfast in the morning and there were these huge maple trees hanging over the whole park. It was beautiful. Here is a picture of my booth at the show

Lexington KY

  I’m really excited to be going to Lexington Ky this weekend for the Lexington Art League show.  The show gets rave reviews from all sorts of artists I know. tomato fest

This week I finished a painting for Tomato Fest. It’s  a huge celebration of Tomatoes in Nashville, Tennessee. I get to submit any tomato art I want to make! Of all the things I planted in the backyard this spring the tomatoes have been the most successful, so it felt appropriate to honor them by painting one set as a precious gem.

The big crafty is coming up in just over a week! I have been hearing about this show ever since I moved back in January, so it’s wonderful to finally see what all the fuss is about. crazy windstorm

I was very excited to do another show in Asheville yesterday. It did not go so well.
